The Queen songs from the landmark album, A Night At the Opera, represent, arguably, their best collection of songs. So much creativity can be found on this album both from a songwriting and engineering perspective that it is considered one of the greatest rock albums of all time. The rock masterpiece, Bohemian Rhapsody is the centerpiece of this album.

The beginning of 1974 was a challenging time for the band as they dealt with health problems (Brian & Freddie) and equipment troubles. At the end of one particular show, the crowd sang ‘God Save The Queen’ that later became a tradition at Queen concerts. The band recorded the song for their fourth album.

In March, Queen released their second album, aptly titled Queen II.

Tonight’s band rehearsal will include Under Pressure. We will fine tune this classic Queen song and have it ready for the next gig. I’ll be sharing the vocal with Jonathan Appell on keyboards.

This is considered the greatest rock duet of all time. Hope I can do it justice…
